The Fenetra project grew out of the well-known Clock brewery, that recently moved to the former Potštejn window factory, which historically bore the name Fenetra. Clock continues to brew great beers of all sorts of beer styles, so why did they create a new brand? Fenetra focuses on a completely different kind of beers than both typical modern and traditional beer styles, and instead creates spontaneously and wildly fermented beers employing local microorganisms from around Potštejn. This results in beers with very interesting flavor profiles, from floral dry saisons to intensely fruity wild beers similar to Belgian lambics. A specialty of the Potštejn project is the use of alternative cereals such as spelt, which lends their beers another unique flavor touch. It is also worth noting that Fenetra recently purchased a really large coolship, a “bathtub” for cooling and spontaneous fermentation of the wort from the air.
