There is quite a spectrum of different approaches to creating a Black IPA. We chose to follow the way of a really small and really really roasty dark malt addition. That way we created a very dark beer in colour that combines citrusy and tropical flavour of the Citra hops and a light roasty tone that fills the bitterness vacuum typical for New Enland IPAs.
To complement this unusual creation we brought habanero peppers into the mix. This pepper known for its higher spiciness and a delicate but intense peppery flavour finishes the overall complexity of this unusual beer.
