This is our tribute to the strat of modern craft beer era, tribute to West Coast IPA, a style in which combines magical fruity tastes of modern hop varietals and a higher bitterness from the hops used in the “front” of the boil. In the world of often hyperreal New England IPAs, we can sometimes forget, how great bitterness is in beer and this IPA will help you remember while still retaining the modern aromatic characteristics of contemporary hazy IPAs.
The star in our new Double IPA are the New Zealand hops Nelson Sauvin and Motueka. These hop varietals endlessly profit from the New Zealand climate, climate that proved to be ideal for hop growing thanks to an interplay of island humidity, tropical sunny summers and freezing winters. Hop farming and cultivating born from these lucky occurences created unique varietals that show elegant bitterness and most importantly, an intensely aromatic fruity profile with grape-like character.
