It’s the year 2021 and a new dot is inconspicuously added to the Czech Republic’s map of breweries. The name is Thrills and it stands in Velké Pavlovice, a town south of Brno. This project appeared modestly in a relative silence and one could think it’s “just another” brewery of the many being founded in recent years. Only after closer inspection you come across the man leading Thrills – Marek Houdek, who returned home after years of brewing for the famous English brewery Wildbeer Co.

Upon returing Marek quickly put his experience to work bringing a fresh wind back to Morava in the unorthodox approach his previous employer is known for. We can now look forward to beers that are likely to cross borders between traditional and modern ingredients and beer styles while endorsing local heritage of the region. Already in Thrills’ first beers you can enjoy this unconventional approach.
