It&#8217;s caused by the enormous demand of bourbon destilleries for new oak barrels and by the wood&#8217;s incredible properties. Virgin American oak translates incredibly into beer or any other beverage thanks to its high vanilin and wood sugars content taht provide pleasant tones of vanilla and coconut, together with smooth silky character. Our sl\u00e1dek Mikul\u00e1\u0161 came with this idea and used American oak wooden chips and macerated them in our clean kettle sour ale.
