But we wanted to refer to the true beginning of this style, which aimed to connect two brewing traditions separated by an ocean, culture and time &#8211; the American IPA and the Belgian Witbier. Today, any interpretation of a traditional or new age IPA with only a higher proportion of wheat malts is often referred to as a White IPA.
