In 2023, it was a dark strong Germkn\u00f6del with fudge and vanilla, last year with blueberries, and this year we decided for a slightly different, but no less rich interpretation &#8211; Makovec, the poppy seeds cake.<\/p>\n<p>The base beer is a strong bottom-fermented bock with a full malt body. We added Czech blue poppy seeds to bring earthiness and an oily texture, real vanilla for roundness and limes for a fresh citrus line. The resulting taste is reminiscent of Austrian poppy seed cake with a lime glaze &#8211; sweet but not sticky, bold but still drinkable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another collaboration batch with the Strahov Monastery Brewery inspired by an Austrian dessert.
