After Eye of Odin, we return to Norse mythology with another Valhalla-inspired beer. This time, we pay tribute to the goddess S\u00f3l, who, according to legend, raced across the sky in her chariot of the sun. And that\u2019s exactly how this beer is meant to feel \u2013 radiant, energetic and untamed.<\/p>\n
The base is a New England IPA fermented with norwegian kveik yeast. This gives the beer a slightly rustic character while enhancing the overall fruitiness of the profile. On top of that, we added oranges in multiple forms \u2013 both juice and zest \u2013 resulting in a bold, juicy citrus line with a subtle bitter, zesty finish.<\/p>\n
The hop combination of Citra Dynaboost, Krush and Amarillo pushes the beer even further. It brings layers of citrus, sweet fruit and a gentle resinous touch that beautifully complements the orange profile.
