Shift The Pils is a modern interpretation of a pale lager that combines the purity of bottom fermentation with the aromatic potential of New Zealand hops. We have used a pair of Peacharine and Motueka hops to give the beer a distinctive aroma of peach, lime and citrus zest, complemented by a light floral note
The base is dry and very drinkable with minimal residual sugar. Fermentation was carried out at low temperatures with an emphasis on clean expression and highlighting the hop components. The bitterness is subtle but pronounced enough to support the refreshing character but not to overpower the aromatic component. Shift The Pils is for those who like bottom-fermented beers but want to experience what modern hopping has to offer outside of Europe. A lager with a fragrant twist that loses none of the elegance of the original style.
