West Coast Pilsner is a style we truly enjoy, it combines the clean drinkability of bottom-fermented lagers with the expressive aroma of modern hops. This beer showcases the experimental American hop HBC 1134, which immediately stood out to us with its clean, bold character. Its aroma brings a burst of citrus zest – orange peel, lime, and a touch of resin. The body remains light and dry, with a sharp bitterness and great drinkability. HBC 1134 comes from the same breeding grounds in Yakima Valley that gave us iconic varietals like Citra, Mosaic and Talus. Whether this new hop becomes a legend remains to be seen, but in this Pilsner, we’ve given it the stage to shine.
