Fanda and Tomáš, our expedition veterans, recently made a trip to Valencia and arranged a delivery of first-class oranges from there. We used the pulp elsewhere, but the rind, it went into this stout, in which it joined with some cocoa beans and created a taste that reminds you of orange pralines.

When Fanda and Tomáš told us that they were planning to spend their vacation working part-time on an orange farm in Valencia, our eyes lit up. With plans for orange beers, we often ran into an obstacle in the form of the difficult availability of really high-quality oranges in adequate quantities here in Czech Republic. But with the new connection directly at the source, that is a thing of the past. So now we bring you two beers, one from orange juice and one from peel. Chocolate Orange Peel Stout is just our interpretation of orange praline in beer and we hope it will be at least as fun for you as the journey of Valencia oranges to our brewery.
