Your favorite Pastry Dark Lager now got a brand new older sister! Imperial Bounty is a Baltic Porter – strong rich dark bottom-fermented beer with tones of chocolate and dark fruit. We used this as a base for an absurd amount of coconut and cocoa nibs.

Baltic Porter is a historical style, that originates on the coast of the Baltic sea (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) and has roots in English Porter mixed with influences of Russian Impirial Stouts. This makes it a very heavy beer. It is fermented with bottom-fermented yeast and also typically lagers for quite some time. The resulting character tends to be more smooth than Russian Imperial Stout, but still very roasty. Tones of chocolate and dark fruits typical for English Porters translates into a softer more drinkable experience. To create Imperial Bounty we really took our coconut extractor “R2D2” to the limit. We were baking the coconut and cocoa nibs for two days before we were finally able to overpower the heavy roastiness. After two days we finally achieved the level of coconutness we intended and together with Cocoa Nibs, Imperial Bounty became something trully wonderful. 500 ml, alcohol 9 % vol.
