Inception of Czech Amber Lager is attributed to Czech brewers trying to mimic Vienna Lagers using local ingredients, This style have been long overlooked and only occasionally brewed, in many instancesj replaced by a blend of Dark and Pale Lager. Only with the rise of craft breweries Amber Lagers became a common sight in Czech pubs.
Magor is one of our oldest recipes and still a respectable member of our core range. Our goal was to create a beer that well exemplifies the taste created by caramelization and other reactions of sugar inside the grain by drying the malt using higher temperatures. For that we chose not to create just another 12-degree beer, but a bit stronger 15-degree, that we all now enjoy together for almost 10 years.
