A modern take on West Coast IPA built around one of the experimental hops from the Hop Breeding Company program – HBC 638. This hop doesn’t have an official name yet, but it already shows why it’s getting so much attention. The profile of HBC 638 is driven by bold fruitiness with notes of tropical fruit, citrus and stone fruit, complemented by a subtle sweeter layer reminiscent of berries. Combined with a dry, well-attenuated body and a more pronounced bitterness, it creates a clean, modern West Coast IPA with a clear character. The Future Is Now is all about tasting what’s coming next and this hop has a loud future ahead.
