We decided to bring the intense hop flavor typical of IPA-style beers to those of you who don’t prefer stronger beers. In our Veni Vidi series, you will be able to taste all kinds of hops in a beautiful drinkable strength of a ten-degree beer. To mimic the dense body of the stronger IPAs, we have increased the mash temperature. Between the hop intensity and the malt strength, you won’t be able to tell how weak the beer is on your tongue. Motueka is the name of a town and river on the South Island of New Zealand. But most of the world knows this name because of the rather popular hop variety that shares this name. But it wasn’t always so. Originally Motueka was called Belgian Saaz, partly because it was a mild variety suitable for lagers and also because Belgian breweries were involved in testing it. The name, however, created confusion as to the origin of the hops and so the name was first changed to the abbreviation B-Saaz and later to the present name Motueka. Motueka is all about elegance – it has a bold citrusy to limey quality that lends itself to a myriad of styles from lagers, to saisons, to IPAs.

Water, barley and wheat malts, oat flakes hop products.
Serve and drink chilled. Protect from frost and direct sunlight. Store up to 8 ˚C.
