A brand new IPA with an attribute you have never seen before on our labels. This highly hoppy and fragrant IPA is South African. Why? Well, because we’ve used only hops from the hop growing region of South Africa. Look forward to a truly novel hop expression.

South African varieties aren’t completely hidden from us, but many of us may not know that African Queen, Southern Passion or Southern Star hops come from breeding programs in Africa’s most southern country. There is a very familiar name to the Czech beer drinker. SAB (later SAB Miller), the former owner of Pilsner Urqell and now part of the world’s largest beer conglomerate AB InBev, which owns most of South Africa’s hop production, is also behind the breeding efforts of varieties grown for the specific climate of the Cape of Good Hope. South Africa is unusually close to the equator for growing hops, so its varieties are indeed highly aromatic thanks to the high levels of sunlight, often showing the flavours of passion fruit, guava and other tropical fruits.
Southern Passion, African Queen, Southern Star
Water, barley malts, oat flakes, wheat malt, hop products.
Serve and drink chilled. Protect from frost and direct sunlight. Store up to 8 ˚C.
