Czech eleven has gained quite a strong position amongst traditional Czech lagers in the last couple decades and we love its advantageous position in between its lighter and heavier versions. For our Krahulík 11 we decided to perfectely exemplify the strenghts of this lager style and create a harmonic marriage of the 10’s drinkability and the 12’s intense flavour. For this, we chose a pair of modern Czech hops. The first, Rubín, is a varietal released in 2007, that contains a higher amount of bitter acids, an ideal hop for that classic sharp bite of bitterness. The second is Harmonie, a modern Czech aromatical varietal, that brings not only the typical herbal and floral character, but also a light citrusy notes, which earned it its name. Thanks to higher attenuation, typical for all our lagers, this untypical hop duo can really shine with its unique character.
