American Pale Ale in its modern iterrations is an embodiment of drinkability created by a marriage of light pale ale malts and reasonable intensity hopping with modern American and/or new world hop varietals. Resulting beer holds a light fruitiness usually with citrusy notes, bitterness that is pleasant and unassertive from the beginning till the end and a grainy malt body that adds certain lightness thanks to high attenuation.
In our Robin we used Citra and Simcoe hops, adding their famous citrusy character, that just keeps on giving.
