Every brewery has its speciality. Matuška has long been one of the masters of lager and their beers are synonymous with purity, drinkability and authenticity. Here at Zichovec, we like to experiment and find new ways to maximise the aroma and flavour of our beer using hops. With Desítka of Happiness, we have combined these two approaches. We’ve taken the best of both worlds, a precise, bottom-fermented beer in the spirit of Czech tradition and added a modern twist with Citra hops. Their citrus aroma beautifully complements the dry, light base. The result is a lager that retains all its traditional virtues while offering the flavour profile typically associated with stronger, more aromatic beers. It’s a beer that honours tradition while showing how far the style can be taken.
